Dripbox 160 misreading ohms

Dripbox 160 misreading ohms

Postby FinnAgain Zero » Thu Jun 23, 2016 1:53 pm

I just got a new Dripbox 160 and rebuild the deck with new coils, and the mod is reading them as being way too low in ohms. I double checked the atomizer on two separate other ecigs and an ohms meter, and they're all agreeing that they're at 0.32 ohms. But the Dripbox is reading them as being 0.14 ohms.

I've turned the Dripbox off and then on again, removed the batteries and let it sit for a while before replacing them, made sure that the atomizer was screwed in tightly... but it's no use.

How can I fix this problem?

Thanks!

If I recall correctly, that was reading .15 ohms. I don't have that coil anymore since I rebuilt it (and I threw out the disposable atomizer because it wasn't one I wanted to use). But I'm sure that the coils that I built and that I'm using now are not .14 ohms.

I'm currently vaping with a sweet eliquid, and so I'll probably need to change my coils within the next few days. I'll test the new coils I build on three other ecigs and an ohms meter. I can update this thread with new information then.

Should that help you to solve my problem?

Thanks.

I just built new coils and put them in, and it's reading .14 ohms. They tested as .26 on my ohms meter and on other ecigs. I took an atomizer off of my wife's ecig, and it also registered as .14 ohms even though it isn't.

Should I mail the ecig back to get fixed?

I actually bought it directly from the Kanger website. Should I contact customer service and send it back to be fixed?
